Hello all,
This is your event information for the Celebration Event that will take place on Sat 12th November 2022.

Firstly, I would like to extend our gratitude to the army of leaders and volunteers who have supported you throughout this plan. There have been some very cold and dark nights to contend with, there is no remuneration at all for them, no mileage payments for them to get to the park and they also have to pay to park when they arrive. They even have to buy their own leader and volunteer bibs that they all wear with such pride.
It’s kindness and generosity like this that makes Blackburn Couch to 5K such a special place to be. We could also not do what we’ve been doing for the last 10 years without them – we’ll be having a huge round of applause for them all at each session this week!
If you are interested in volunteering please register your interest at this link.
Medals
Medals will be provided free of charge to all participants at the event on Sat November 12th. It is with regret that we cannot issue any medals in advance of the event.
If you cannot make it on Sat, please make arrangements to have yours collected at the event for you. Speak to your leader or one of the volunteers.

What’s Next?
We start again in 2023 on Monday 3rd April and run until Thursday 1st June 2023. The next program after that will start on Monday 31st July 2023 and run until Thursday 28th September 2023.
In the interim you may wish to consider participating in Parkruns or you could join a local running club. I’m a member of Blackburn Road Runners which is very all inclusive and caters for all speeds and abilities. They also have a regular walking group! John Clucas is the Chair of the club so you are guaranteed a very warm and welcoming reception.
More information about joining Blackburn Road Runners can be found at this link.
